On May 3, 2017 at the close of the regular Member meeting of the Downtown Arlington Business Association Jeff Phebus resigned as President of the Association.
A Special Board Meeting was held on May 12, 2017 to review what options and interests other Board Members had regarding lateraling into the position of President for the balance of 2017. Also reviewed was who from within the membership of the Downtown Arlington Business Association (DABA) would be interested in filling other vacant positions on the Board. It was noted that Kathleen Shalan of the Country Rose/Bella Bungalow was interested in joining the Board. Her experience as a downtown business owner, member of DABA and Past Chairman of the Arlington Street Fair brings experience and knowledge that would be an asset to the DABA Board.
At the May 22, 2017, regular meeting of the Downtown Arlington Business Association Board it was unanimously voted to appoint Kathleen Shalan as President of the Downtown Arlington Business Association. We welcome Kathleen to our Board and look forward to moving forward under her leadership.
We also want to thank our Vice-President Dana Fowler for her commitment to the Board and her Chairmanship of Arlington’s Viking Fest and recognize the remaining Board Members for their commitment to our business community –
Cristy Brubaker – Secretary/Treasurer
Rich Senff – Board Position #2
Bill Dettrich – Board Position #1
Annual DABA Elections are held at the November meeting for the upcoming year.
Please join us on June 7, 2017 at our regularly scheduled Member Meeting – 5:30 PM in the Arlington City Council Chambers to Welcome our new President and find out more about Downtown Arlington Business Association.
