What is DABA?
We are an association of Downtown Arlington business owners and other individuals who desire to see downtown and all business located within that footprint thrive. D.A.B.A. manages several of the most significant community events that take place in the historic downtown area and offers its members networking and very low cost advertising and sponsorship opportunities throughout the year.
Our monthly meetings offer members the chance to become knowledgeable about everything going on in Historic Downtown, to network with other business owners and to help in the planning of any D.A.B.A activities. We also ensure that members are made aware of the activities of other groups that impact the downtown merchants. Groups like the Arlington Arts Council, The City of Arlington, the American Legion and the Stilly Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Our vision for the downtown Arlington area is to create a business culture where full participation and economic equality is achievable.
Our Mission
The Downtown Arlington Business Association strives to unite and empower the Downtown Arlington Businesses towards business development and the delivery of quality merchant services and products to our patrons.
Our businesses love working in downtown and care about the community of Arlington. That is why DABA manages several annual events that are family friendly and a portion of the proceeds go to local groups/organizations that are working hard to create better quality of life for the residents of Arlington.
We encourage you to attend our monthly member meeting held the first Wednesday of every month from 6 – 7 pm at the Arlington City Council Chambers located at 110 East 3rd Street in downtown Arlington.
2024 Board Members
DABA Board Members are volunteers who also operate small businesses in Arlington. A new Board is nominated each year, and volunteer participation is essential to continuing the work DABA does each year.
